Warranty and Repairs

LIMITED WARRANTY

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

French West Indies French West Indies® products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase. If you are the original owner and your French West Indies® product becomes damaged due to defects in materials or workmanship within one year from the date of original purchase, we will repair your product or replace it, as determined at our discretion, with the same or an equivalent valued model, free of charge, as long as the defect appears under normal use. This one year limited warranty does not cover damage caused by common carriers such as airlines, cruise lines, trains and taxis. Damage claims in transit cases should be filed against the carrier.

WARRANTY EXCEPTIONS

This French West Indies® warranty does not cover damages resulting from abuse, cosmetic wear, damage due to cleaning, lost or stolen bags and incidental or consequential damages such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.

PROOF OF PURCHASE

The French West Indies warranty extends to the original owner. To validate the product warranty, the original owner of the product will require a proof of purchase in the form of an original sales receipt from an authorized French West Indies French West Indies® retailer.

Note that while warranty repairs will be made professionally, we cannot guarantee the original appearance to be preserved. In these rare instances, repairs made will restore the intended functionality of the product.

This French West Indies warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or country to country. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

WARRANTY REPAIRS

To report a warranty defect or to get a product repaired that is outside its warranty, please contact Online Customer Support for an RA # and shipping instructions to the nearest authorized repair center.

If the bag is deemed eligible for a warranty claim by Customer Support, arrangements will be made immediately to have it repaired. If we deem that the case is non-repairable, we will replace it with the same or an equivalent valued model, free of charge. For all warranty repairs, the customer is only responsible for the shipping cost to the repair center while FrenchWestIndies.com will cover the cost to return the repaired product to the customer using FedEx/UPS Ground freight. If the customer would like priority return shipping, they must pay the difference.

If it is determined that the case is not covered under its warranty after it has been received by the repair center, the customer will be notified prior to any work being done. If at that time, the customer elects not to provide FrenchWestIndies.com with an approval for the repair work as well as a credit card number, FrenchWestIndies.com will cover the cost to return the non-repaired product to the customer using FedEx/UPS Ground freight. If the customer would like priority return shipping, they must pay the difference.

NON-WARRANTY REPAIRS

As an added service, all authorized repair centers will repair products sold by FrenchWestIndies.com that fall outside of our limited warranty at a very nominal cost. To locate the closest authorized repair center, please contact Online Customer Support.
